Unity
Phillips has made it clear through her time on the McHenry County Board, that UNITY is something important not only with all board members, but the Chairperson, and the residents of McHenry as well. Phillips pledges to keep fighting for unity with other board members, and advocate for unity and togetherness for all of the residents of McHenry County. We are one county and we must all unite to make McHenry County the leading County in Illinois that works together, for each other and works as one united community.
School and Public Safety
The safety of our children is extremely important these days. Safety not inside our children's school, but outside of school.
Saftey on our road surrounding our schools is something Phillips has gone unnoticed by fellow board members in District 9. Phillips opponent Kerns, has shown he does not care for road safety for our children ( and residents) traveling to school and through the school zones.
Kerns has voted against safety measures in other school areas, and has turned a blind eye to safety here in District 9.
Phillips however, takes the safety of our children and residents very seriously, and will not cow-tow to the boys club and or anyone else. You wont see Phillips having secret backroom meetings with other members of the board and their buddies, to say no to public safety. Phillips will fight for safer roads and areas around schools so no further accidents or injuries happen at these busy intersections and roads. We need safety measures for our children traveling to school.
A stop sign was too much for Kerns and voted AGAINST safety, but for Phillips, It's not enough.
Re-Elect Phillips to McHenry County Board, and make our children safe.
Equality
Phillips ran for equality for all residents of McHenry County, and still continues to advocate for Equality for all residents of McHenry County. All citizens in McHenry County and beyond, are all equal and should be treated as such, and that equality should extend to their business as well.

Being the first opening out LGBTQ person elected to the board, Phillips was met with opposition from fellow board members and chairperson that made it clear that they did not believe members of the community who are LGBTQ, should be recognized as part of the county.
Phillips fought for that equality and will continue to fight for equality for all until we as residents of McHenry County, can unite and treat and live as equals in McHenry County.
Fairness
With Unity and equality, comes fairness. Everyone in our county( and beyond), has the right to be heard, have their concerns heard and met with a fair and open mind. Phillips has made it a point to work with other party board members on all issues that affect our county. Fairness is key to being able to work together and unit as one community.
We all have a voice, and it should be heard and met with the same dignity, equality and fairness as every one's voice in McHenry county. Phillips will treat your concerns, ideas, etc. with fairness and will listen to what you have to say. That is how progress is made.
